GETTING TO METU – INSTITUTE OF MARINE SCIENCES
- From ADANA Airport to MERSIN City Center (approximately 80 km)
1. HAVAS is the main service company running regular shuttles between ADANA airport & MERSIN. Please see the link for time schedules and arrival points.
2. Alternatively, after reaching the Adana bus terminal from the airport (you can take a short taxi ride), you can reach Mersin by using the Adana-Mersin KOÇ minibusses that depart at certain intervals during the day. Below you can find the earliest and latest minibus departure times during the day::

- From MERSIN City Center to METU – IMS (approximately 40 km)
1. MES-KOOP minibusses provide continuous daytime service between MERSIN and Erdemli. Local minibuses from Erdemli provide a service to Limonlu or Kizkalesi village which passes the institute entrance. Please note that METU-IMS is located approx. 1.5 km after passing through the village of Kocahasanlı.

2. The SILIFKE-KOOP minibusses, which operate between Silifke and Mersin, conveniently pass by the entrance of the Institute. Simply inform the driver or their assistant that you'd like to go to the Middle East Technical University ("Orta Dogu Teknik Universitesi") to ensure you're dropped off at the correct location.

3. You can reach METU-IMS by using Mersin Municipality public buses in Mersin. By using bus lines "156" or "170", you can arrive at the METU-IMS campus gate directly (Both buses have a stop in front of METU-IMS). You can pay with a contactless Mastercard on the bus or purchase a "Mersin 33 CARD" from various points in Mersin to use these buses.
