Computing Facilities

Every researcher working place in the Institute is computerized.

The Computing Facilities at the Institute consist of various models work stations and PCs, communication units and peripherals:

- 4 Silicon Graphics INDY R5000,
- Silicon Graphics O2,
- numerous PCs (Windows & Linux),
- Hi-capacity DVD, CD and tape storage units,
- Local Area Network,
- various models plotters and printers
- Multimedia Projector

The Institute is connected to the Internet via high-speed dedicated line with 2 Mb/s capacity. The Institute LAN has 100 Mb/s capacity inside laboratory buildings and 10 Mb/s on routs to dormitory and faculty staff buildings.
